What this is and why we walk
Every city has a postcard version — the landmark, the view, the thing everyone photographs. This site is about what is behind it: the lane you find by taking a wrong turn, the square that appears unexpectedly at the top of a staircase, the light at 8am before anyone else is there.
We walk. We stop when something is worth stopping for. We photograph where we stopped and mark it on a map, so that if you want to find the same thing, you can.
The cities are organised by country. Each one has a walk map, the photo stops from that walk, and a short video of the route. The journal has the longer version — what we noticed, when to go, what to avoid.
